The Conservative Europe Group (CEG) is the officially recognised organisation within the Conservative Party committed to a positive and constructive approach to our role in the European Union.

We support our Prime Minister's stated aim that the EU should concentrate on those areas of policy where it makes better sense to work collaboratively than to work alone. He gave the key examples of Globalisation, Global Warming and Global Poverty.

We want to work with our allies to build a Europe in tune with the Conservative principles of free enterprise and the free movement of people, goods and services.

We support the EU's priority aim of a competitive Europe contributing to the peace and prosperity of the world and standing for high standards of democracy and human rights.
